Amber started her 2018/19 season by qualifying for the Yorkshire County Swimming Championships held at Leeds on 15 & 16th September. In her 100m breast stroke race she was 0.04 seconds off a regional time which is extremely hard to achieve at just turned 11. She decided to go and race again at the Derventio meet in Matlock on 22nd where she placed first in the 100m breast.
She raced again at the annual Teaspoons meet at Ponds Forge on 23rd where she swam all four strokes in the 50m sprints. No medals but 3 PB’s! Now a few weeks off competing and back to playing hockey for school.
A fantastic start to the season for Amber in Upper Elements!

If you have information about your daughters sporting performances outside of school, please email me a summary and photograph and I will endeavour to include her achievements in a future newsletter. Mrs Faber.
